Spooky Halloween Sangria Recipe πŸ•ΈοΈπŸ·

Hi friends!

I always say that these posts are going to be short and sweet so I’m not sure why I start each post by saying that! Lol but I also think that I say that so if you’re new here you don’t to this post and be like β€œOMG I don’t care how she stumbled upon this recipe standing on a cliff looking out into the water looking at a baby dolphin learning to swim” hahaha! Some recipes just need to get to the point! Here is my Spooky Halloween Sangria recipe!

I wanted to create something festive, fun, and super easy with ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen. The best part about sangria? It’s flexible. Think of it like a charcuterie board, you can swap ingredients around and make it your own. Any fruit, any red or white wine, and your choice of spirits like rum, brandy, or vodka all work. πŸ‘» Party Tip: This recipe makes one pitcher so if you are wanting more for like a get together or something, double it! OR triple the recipe depending on how many people are going to be drinking it!

Happy drinking!

πŸ§ͺ Ingredients (Makes 1 Pitcher)

  • 2 bottles of red wine (I used Apothic Red)

  • 1 Β½ cups rum

  • Splash of apple cider (I like to add it to each glass so everyone can choose their sweetness level)

  • Simple syrup (optional, apple cider might make it sweet enough)

  • 4 red delicious apples (for flavor and spooky red color)

  • 1 large container of blackberries

  • Black sugar sprinkles (for rimming the glass)

  • Honey (to help the sugar stick)

  • Pitcher

β€’ Decorative skulls or spooky garnishes 🦴

πŸ•·οΈ Directions

  1. Slice the apples and toss them into your pitcher with the blackberries.

  2. Pour in the two bottles of red wine and the rum. Give it a stir.

  3. Let it chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours

    • Let it sit overnight if you can, in my opinion, sangria always tastes better after the flavors mingle for a bit!

  4. When you’re ready to serve:

  5. Pour your sangria into glasses and then top with a splash of apple cider for sweetness (to taste), and add your fun garnishes!

This was overall really easy to put together and as a red wine fan, it is delish! What are your Halloween weekend plans? Costumes, parties, trick-or-treating, or staying in with scary movies? Let me know! I think we have a mix of all of those options in our future! I would love to see if you decide to make Spooky Halloween Sangria for your Halloween festivities!
