Favorite Etsy Purchases So Far This Year | Unique Finds & Gift Ideas
Hi friends!
One of my favorite places to shop for unique gifts and just more fun finds is Etsy! I like to scroll Etsy as if I am scrolling on any other social media platform and just see what I can find! I also like that I am supporting small businesses when I shop from Etsy and I am also finding items that feel more personal, creative, and special than something that was maybe mass produced from a big box store. This year I have gotten some cute gifts for different people and I love them! From a hilarious “smooshed” Charmander display for Dustin’s birthday to a Lightning McQueen baby tee that was perfect for my Disneyland trip, I have found some good things! But I wanted to share what I have found so far and why I love them!

Wildlife Remembered Journal - I had my eye on this Wildlife Remembered Observation Journal for so long, I love the way that it looks! I wanted to use it as decor in my office but also since having it I have used it when I see species out of the window in my office! I think it is such a fun journal to have, espcially with wildlife being such a big part of my life! I think this would be such a cute and thoughtful gift for any nature lover in your life! The journal also has space to track so many details like where and when I spotted the birds or animals, what they were doing, the weather, and there is even a space for sketches or photos if you aren’t very artsy like me haha! But it also shipped quickly and came packaged well, I would definitely purchase from the seller again! They also have journals for concerts, reading, movies, hikes, dreams, national parks, so many options so this isn’t just for wildlife spottings!
Smudgy Charmander - I got this cutest smudgy Charmander display for Dustin for his birthday and I literally couldn’t believe how stinkin’ cute it was when it got to our house! We are big Pokemon fans, I actually have a couple of blog posts coming up about Pokemon so if you are a fan those will be coming in the near future! Right before Dustin’s birthday we redid the shelves in there and now he has the coolest display unit! Dustin’s office has quickly become the Pokemon room where we can put all of our favorite Pokemon stuffies, cards, binders and all the other stuff we have! But he loves Charmander and this was one of those things that was perfect to add to his/our new display case! It is a 3D printed product but it was done really well and I would absolutely repurchase from this seller on Etsy! If you have a Pokemon fan in your life this is the cutest gift to get them or one of their other many smudgy Pokemon styles that they have!
Cars Cropped Baby Tee - I got this Lightning McQueen crop tank back in January for our trip to Disneyland! I wanted to wear something that was cute and comfortable but also on theme for being in the parks! Especially because Cars isn’t as big in Disney World, I thought it would be fun to lean into that theme at Disneyland! I actually found this Cars themed tee a few years ago and it has been in one of my outfit inspo blog posts for Disney over on Taryn Into Travel! I think this tee is the perfect design for a Disneyland outfit! I really liked how soft and stretchy the fabric is which made it super comfortable to wear all day long while exploring the parks. The cropped fit was perfect to wear under my Free People Hot Shot Onesie and my jean jacket that I paired it with! I highly recommend this tee if you are looking for a way to add a little Cars into your next Disney outfit!
Bluey and Pokemon Playdough jars - I got these RainDough jars to put in our friends kiddos valentines gift basket that I made for them! But I love the idea of these play dough jars because they are so customizable to whatever the gift receiver you are shopping for is into at the time. I have bought these in the past for my nephews and they were sea creature and construction worker themed. I think it is such a creative gift, especially for kids who love hands on play and imaginative activities. I also think that the themed characters in the little jar makes them feel more exciting and unique than a typical toy or goodie bag item. The Bluey and Pokémon themes were spot on for our friends kids interests but the shop had so many other options to choose from! The shop was easy to work with, shipped the play dough quickly and came as it said it would! I will definitely purchase from the shop again in the future!
Handmade Felt Books - These are the cutest personalized felt books with their names on them. My nephew was born I got one of these felt books for him and then I gifted it to them and was like WHY didn’t I get one for my niece as well?! So I quickly went back and got another one with my nieces name on it. They are so cute and personalized and something that can play with but also keep is as something special if they want to as well! I like that the felt books are cute but also engaging and educational. It is good for hands on play to help with developing fine motor skills and sensory skills and I think it would be good to keep kiddos busy in the car because it’s soft and mess free while also keeping them busy! Such a cute gift and loved how easy the seller was! Oh and they have a few different themes that they make for the books as well, like Berry Tale, Wild Lion, Bear Adventure and Fairy Garden!
Felt Duck and Carrot - I got these handmade felt toys for my niece because I saw them when I was browsing Etsy one night and I thought they would be perfect for Easter! They are so perfect and little and they fit perfectly into the easter eggs that I sent her! The little duckling in the egg and the seedling baby doll both have the cutest details that make them feel special and perfect for a spring or Easter basket gift. I also really love that they are handmade! The shop had so many other handmade felt items too so if you check out the shop you don’t just have to shop for Easter, you could find something for really anytime of the year!
It’s fun to go back through purchases and see what I got and what I loved, especially Etsy because sometimes you don’t even know what Etsy has to offer because there are so many good things on there! I love finding gifts from Etsy because each purchase just feels a little more intentional and personal. There’s always something creative, handmade, or even customizable that feels much more meaningful especially when gift giving!
