Car Kit Essentials Every Girl Should Keep in Her Car
Hi friends!
If we’re being realistic, I feel like our cars are basically our second homes. We spend so much time in there like when we’re commuting to work, heading to a weekend getaway, just running errands! I think that having a well stocked car kit can make life so much easier. I can’t even tell you how many times I have been thankful that I had what I needed in the car because of my car kit! I wanted to put together a complete list of what I think are car kit must haves that everyone should keep on hand in the car!

🚗 Safety & Emergency Essentials
These things are absolute non negotiable and something to keep in the car that you will hopefully never need to use but if you do, you’ll be so glad they’re there.
Blanket (especially if you live in a place with cold weather)
👜 Personal Care Essentials
These are the just some little things to have on hand that can make a busy or chaotic day so much smoother, especially if you are running behind or forgot to do a step when you were getting ready that morning!
Hair ties and bobby pins
Mini deodorant (careful, in Florida this can melt!)
Travel-size perfume
📱 Tech & Convenience Must-Haves
Phone charger (keep an extra just for the car)
🍫 Food & Hydration
I always like to have a snack or really like five snacks in the car because nothing is worse than being hungry while you’re stuck in traffic!
Water Bottle for emergencies
Snacks, things like granola bars, nuts, crackers, chips! Just make sure you don’t add anything that would melt and make a mess!
🧥 Clothing & Comfort Items
Light jacket or maybe like a sweatshirt
Extra pair of shoes
Important Documents & Extras
These are the things that I think are helpful to have on hand and I just leave them in my glove box!
Optional But Nice to Have Extras
Having these things in the car aren’t necessarily essential, BUT they do make your car feel more put together.
Air freshener, this can be anything you like but I have been interested in trying the Pura Car Freshener!
Reusable shopping bags
How to Store Everything
A small trunk bin for emergency items
A zip pouch for personal care
A glove box folder for documents
Putting together a car kit might feel like a chore, but it’s one of those small things that you’re going to do that I really think will pay off again and again. This post will really prepare you for anything like a surprise coffee spill, a long day on the road, those 3pm headaches or mornings you forget to put on deodorant or perfume!
